Does your style bolster your confidence and accurately reflect your inner self, or does it feel inauthentic, even boring? While sometimes given little thought, clothing that truly complements both your body and your personality can make a noticeable difference in your life. When who you are matches how you look, you feel confident and authentic, giving yourself the latitude to fully express your passion. And when you achieve this balance, the image you portray garners respect from others and can often open the door to positive opportunities.

I’m here to help you achieve your “sweet spot” of style — the intersection between your personality, likes and dislikes, and budget — creating a usable and complimentary wardrobe. My approach to styling you is threefold. First, we establish who you are by having an initial discussion based on the new client questionnaire, and think about ways to express that through the clothing you wear. I’ll take a look at your closet and evaluate what pieces work and which ones don’t, as well as offering tips on how to organize your space to best utilize what you already own. Second, we examine what roles you fill, and adjust your wardrobe to find appropriate ways to blend this with your personality and taste. Third, I will help you find new clothing that will stand the test of time. I do this by sharing advice about textile and garment quality, advocating for timeless, classic items that don’t go out of style, and teaching how to tell the difference between well and poorly-made garments. If necessary, we can also discuss tailoring needs, as well as suitable care for your garments to keep them working for you as long as possible.

As a former teacher and oldest of six sisters, it has long been in my nature to help people become better versions of themselves. I’ve been working with sewing and other textile-based mediums since I was a child, even creating and selling costumes as a teenager. These skills, once just a hobby, I’m now combining with my teaching experience and college psychology background to help other women achieve their goals. I consider it my role not just to give my clients a new wardrobe and a sense of their personal style, but also to help them come out of our time together with a better idea of who they are and how they relate to the world. So let’s get started – give me a call or email today to set up a consultation!
